Coup attempt at Turkey ?

The Coup Attempt On Turkey By The Military

  The coup attempt in Turkey occurred on July 15, 2016. During the attempt, a faction within the Turkish military tried to overthrow the government of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The coup was thwarted as loyalist forces and civilians took to the streets to resist the coup plotters. The events of that night led to widespread arrests, dismissals, and a state of emergency being declared in Turkey. The Turkish government accused the Fethullah Gülen movement, led by exiled cleric Fethullah Gülen, of orchestrating the coup, a claim Gülen has consistently denied. The aftermath of the coup attempt had a significant impact on Turkish politics, with ongoing repercussions in the years that followed.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan was president when the coup was attempted, in order to overthrow him a rebellion was planned and he was attacked, He somehow survived the attack and addressed to the people about the situation to which people reacted bravely by marching onto the streets and defending their believes.

Many people were injured and several people lost their lives but they(People) showed courage and set an example on how people acting together with one believe can overcome such calamity. Although the coup was failed it left a significant mark on the people and the government.
